The Gundam Card Game turns one, and Bandai have marked the occasion by throwing everything at the wall. Freedom Ascension reaches across four fan-favourite corners of the franchise at once Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz and Char’s Counterattack with the Strike Freedom Gundam and the Gundam leading the line. What you’re holding is one sealed pack, twelve cards, and about ninety seconds of very good tension. Grab one to top up a deck, or grab a handful and see what the anniversary set makes of you.

What’s in the pack

• One sealed 12-card Gundam Card Game booster pack, English edition
• Cards from Freedom Ascension [GD05], the game’s first anniversary set, released July 2026
• Units, Pilots and supporting cards drawn from SEED Destiny, G Gundam, Endless Waltz and Char’s Counterattack

What you’re chasing

• Link Rare a brand-new rarity debuting in this set: parallel versions that put a Unit and its Pilot together in one piece of art
• LR++ five of them here, a series record for the game’s top rarity, each pairing a standout Pilot with their signature Mobile Suit
• Special (SP) Pilot Cards eight popular pilots given the special-art treatment
• Special EX Resource Cards the first illustrated resource cards the game has printed

Twelve cards is a cheap way to find out whether the dice are on your side today and with the Link Rares seeded through as parallels of cards already in the set, there’s something worth digging for in the anniversary print run whichever way you open it.

This is a single sealed booster pack, not a box or display. Anything worth keeping wants sleeving before it ever touches a table, so add a pack of card sleeves while you’re here, and have a look through the wider Gundam Card Game range for decks, displays and the sets that came before.
