Sometimes a full wash is overkill and you just need one convincing scratch in exactly the right place. This AK Interactive pencil gives you that kind of control sharpen it like a normal pencil and draw chipping and wear directly onto bare or painted wood, exactly where the model would actually take damage.

Best for

• Rifle stocks, wooden crates, cart wheels and any timber that’s seen hard use
• Fine, single-point detail work a brush struggles to match
• Touch-ups and top-ups on existing weathering, without breaking out a full wash

Because it’s water-soluble, a damp brush after drawing softens the line into a natural gradient rather than a hard scratch quick to correct if you go in too heavy.

A precise, low-mess way to age wood. Browse the full AK Interactive weathering effects range to build up the effect alongside it.
